There is no specific educational requirement to become a detective in  India. However, it is recommended that you pursue a degree in law or criminology

Detective Training

Because detectives need to know how to handle investigations. So they  must be familiar with police work and the skills required for it. They  should also be trained in how to interview people, take statements and  conduct interrogations. 

Salary expectation

The salaries for detectives vary from city to city. In smaller cities, a starting salary of Rs. 2 lakhs per annum is fairly typical. In larger cities, a starting salary of Rs. 5 lakhs per annum is not unheard of.
