After class 10th-

After Passing class 12th-

Steps to enter the Air Force by NDA

The information of NDA exam release from the newspapers and other social institutions through the UPSC twice every year in June and December. In which the recruitments of the three armies are taken out.

  • First of all, a written examination has to be done.
  • SSB interview has to be passed after passing the written examination.
  • After passing the SSB interview, a physical test has to be passed.
  • After passing the physical test, there is a medical checkup of the candidate.

Qualifications-

1. Candidate’s joining the airforce should be between 16½ to 19½ years of age.

Candidate should have passed Engineering Degree in any stream from a recognized University with 50% marks in Diploma.

After Graduation as an Officer?

Graduate Entry Scheme For Joining Indian Air Force

By- CDSE (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION) –

Gender- Men

Educational Qualification- If a student wants to go to Air Force from Graduate, then he must have passed 10+2 Intermediate with at least 50% marks and 60% marks in Physics and Chemistry and Maths.

Graduate (Three Year Course) in any degree from a recognized University with minimum 60% markor equivalent and have passed Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 intermediate.

Must have passed BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) Diploma with 60% Marks from a recognized University.

Marital Status- Unmarried

Educational Qualification- Candidate should have passed class 10+2 with 60% marks and also passed graduation with 60% marks.

Candidate should have passed BE/B.Tech (Four Year Course) Diploma with 60% Marks from a recognized University. Or

3) Clear Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks.

If student have a certificate of testing and produce degree of afsb which provided by certified University then final year / semester student can also give the exam.

Syllabus – Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Air force Aptitude Test, General Knowledge, Mathematics, English.

2– Air Force Selection Board

Now, the Air Force Selection Board after checking all the qualifications of the candidate and after giving the exam, the candidate is sent for the medical examination.

3- Medical Examination

After clearing the exam, the candidate’s medical is done, after clearing which the candidate is sent to the training center.

SSC short service commission

If a student has to go through SSC in Air Force, then he has to clear AFCAT (Air force common admission test) exam.

Its application comes twice a year in the month of June and December.

Eligibility –

Age- 20 to 24 years

Gender- Men & Women

Marital Status- Unmarried

Educational Qualification- Candidate should have passed class 10+2 with 60% marks and also passed graduation with 60% marks.

(ii) Candidate should have passed BE/B.Tech (Four Year Course) Diploma with 60% Marks from a recognized University. Or he is in the final year semester of a degree and has a degree certificate from the college, then the candidate can appear for the Air Force exam.

(iii) The age limit is up to 26 years for the students who are a holding valid and current commercial license by DGCA (India) candidate of NCC and SCC.

Ground Duty(Technical) Branches-

This exam is only for engineering students because only students who have an engineering degree can apply, it is a part of ground duty, their job is to solve and maintain the technical problems of military equipment and fighter aircraft.

Age- 20 to 26 years

Gender- Men and Women

Permanent Commission (for men) / Short Service Commission (For men and women).

Marital Status- unmarried but if candidate is 26 year old then he should be married.

Educational Qualification- If a candidate wants to go to Air Force from Ground Duty Technical Branch, then the trade should be of the following engineering degree and should have passed with 60% marks. OR

BE/B.tech (Four Year Course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.

3- Medical Examination-
Candidates can apply through one of the following trades:
  • AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING
  • ELECTRONICS AERONAUTICAL
  • ENGINEERING MECHANICAL

Technical Ground Duty As Aeronautical Engineer Electronics-

If a candidate wants to join a technical branch, then the qualifications given below should be.

Educational Qualification-

if candidate give this exam then Minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at 10+2 level and minimum of 4-year graduation / integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering / Technology from university. OR

2) if candidate give this exam then Clear Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) OR

3) If candidate give this exam then Cleared Section A and B examination of Aeronautical Society of India. OR

4) if candidates give this exam then graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies OR

2nd Educational Qualifications-

Joining Indian Air Force As An Administration Officer

A candidate joining the Air Force as an Administration Officer is given the following tasks as an officer Air Traffic Controller, Fighter Controller

Educational Qualification

i) Graduate Degree (3 year degree course)  from a recognized university with 60% marks or equivalent. OR

ii) if candidate want to become an administration officer then Cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a 60% marks or equivalent.
